All of us experience many changes and transitions in our lives
and we at St Lawrence would love to help you mark those times
in a way that feels right to you, and which places God’s love at the heart of your journey.
Some common requests are listed below, but please contact us for a conversation if you would like to mark something that isn’t listed.
Blessing of Relationships
If you would like a service of thanksgiving for a relationship; for example:
prayers for a civil partnership or committed same-sex relationship (working within what is currently permitted by the Church of England)
renewal of wedding vows
thanksgiving for a child (if you don’t wish to have a baptism)
There are many reasons people feel it is important to ask God’s blessing on their home. Sometimes it is after a house move, as a blessing on this new home, and at other times it just feels like the right thing to do at a particular point in time.
