Who’s Who
On 9th November 2023 Rowena announced that
“It is with mixed emotions that I write to share with you that I will be leaving the Benefice in February 2024, to take up the role of Canon Missioner at Lincoln Cathedral. I am excited to be taking up such a significant role, however I will also be sad to be leaving these communities and all the friends I have made in the past 5 years.”
Rev Nina Summerfield joined us as Associate Priest in the Benefice in December 2020. She previously ministered in Lydney, in the Forest of Dean, and now has a special responsibility for the Rissington Churches.
Nina lives in Upper Rissington with husband Clive and her family.
Rev Hannah Allen is our Assistant Curate.
Hannah moved to the village with her husband Craig and daughters Izzy and Beth following training at Ripon College Cuddesdon.
Before training, she was employed by a local charitable trust working alongside those with an interest in making the county a place where everyone can flourish, especially those living on the margins of society.”
Retired Clergy
We are blessed to have a number of retired clergy & their families living & working amongst us. Rev David Cook and Rev Brian Chave join us for worship the most often - sometimes in the pew and sometimes at the front!
We are also pleased that Rev Christopher Etherton & Rev John Ovenden also help out from time to time.
The Parochial Church Council are the elected people who make the big decisions about our church. We are many and varied and meet every month in church. If you are on the electoral roll of the church, you are eligible to stand for PCC.
