Children and young people are welcome in church at any time and at any of our services. In our newly reordered church we have a small room with glass doors facing into church at the back, so if you get restless during a service, there is usually a warm space to retreat to either for a time out or to read or play (for big services, or when we are having lunch together after a service, children's activities will usually be laid out in the north aisle).
For babies and preschoolers, we have a toddler group called BumblebeeZ
In addition, on the first Sunday of the month we have a shorter morning service suitable for all ages but with a particular emphasis on our younger members. On the second Saturday of the month please join us for Breakfast Church at 9am.
For primary school aged children, Chris and Gill (who run our children's parties) have just started The Light Group during Communion Services on the 2nd and 4th Sundays. We meet in the meeting room after the first reading and rejoin the service at the Peace. There will also always be a quiet children's activity set up at the front of the north aisle during 11am services.
We take Safeguarding seriously and have a Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy as well as one for Vulnerable Adults. Both documents are availble to read here or from the Rector, Rev Rowena King.
All concerns regarding the safeguarding and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults should be referred to the Rector (01451 821282 / email@example.com) or to our nominated Parish officer, Gill Willett (firstname.lastname@example.org / 01451 821484 / 07759938180)
